The Bioeconomy Hub developed by SEBRAE in partnership with MuCA was presented to the international community at an event at Technologiepark Weinberg Campus, technology and innovation hub at Martin Luther University in Halle-Wittenberg, Germany. The event took place last Thursday, 12/8, and took 30 Brazilian startups linked to the Amazon to network with local companies, aiming at new partnerships and possibilities for mutual growth.
SEBRAE’s Bioeconomy Hub was created with the aim of fostering entrepreneurship in Brazil, helping small businesses and individual microentrepreneurs (MEI) to obtain income aligned with sustainability and ESG principles. This purpose is in line with the actions of MuCA, the project’s partner, which works as an intermediary between the forest and industry, creating opportunities for growth and development for communities in the Amazon.
The Weinberg Campus houses the Natural Science and Technology institutes of the Martin Luther University of Halle Wittenberg (MLU), such as the Institutes of Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Physics, Mathematics and others. Thus, the Campus Technology Park works as a connection between the university and industry, stimulating partnerships that contribute to a more creative, innovative and sustainable world.
