MuCa obtains the legal guarantee for forestry production and seals a partnership for the production of bioinputs to supply the industry

The Amazon Science Museum – MuCA achieved an important conquist for its trajectory. The Museum met with members of the Ministry of Environment, Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation and Embrapa to ensure legal certainty for forestry production. On that occasion, Ama Brasil signed an agreement with the Federation of Traditional Organizations and Communities of the Tapajós National Forest, through which a partnership is established for the production of bio-inputs to supply the industry.

“With a structure in Amazon, we are leading studies with animals, plants and native microorganisms of high biological relevance for the development of foods, biocosmetics and phytopharmaceuticals”, explains Luiz Felipe Moura, general coordinator of MuCA, “through biodiversity, we finally reach the industry of cure,” he adds.

MuCA seeks to generate value and benefits beyond economic results, prioritizing the sustainability significance that is linked to human, natural, social and financial capital. We believe that only joint, integrated and balanced action between different spheres can increase the positive impacts and thus ensure that sustainable development reaches all its potential.
