MuCA holds opening event for its first exhibition

In planning since the museum’s conception, the first MuCA exhibition reflects the fundamental values that drive our work, bringing together the new and the traditional. Under the theme “Art and Cultural Exchange”, the museum invited the public to follow up with a talk that opens the exhibition of the same name. The talk featured Alejandro Lloret, a Cuban artist specialized in the forms and expressions of nature, and also art historian and curator Tereza de Arruda, whose experience encompasses exhibitions and art galleries abroad.

The event, open to the public, took place in the MuCA auditorium, on 05/10, at 4:30 pm. During the talk, the guests addressed various topics, such as Brazilian artistic making, in the present and in the future, and also the resonance and power of the voices of the forest in the world.

Bringing together a talk and an exhibition, the event was held in partnership with the Sebrae do Pará Bioeconomy Hub, which is MuCA’s ally in several other initiatives for training the local community and promoting bioeconomy. Among the main joint actions is the Backyard Agroforestry project, which holds workshops and implements production units for bio-inputs.
