The new Sebrae Bioeconomy Hub project was recently launched in the MuCA auditorium, in an event that brought together important institutions linked to sustainability, environmental preservation and bioeconomy. Among the entities, there were state departments and museum partners, such as FAPESPA, Sectet, Ufopa, BNDES and Caixa Econômica Federal. On the same day, the museum hosted a visit from the Ministry of Science and Technology to find out about the actions related to scientific innovation and the positive socio-environmental impact of the MuCA.
The new Sebrae Hub will work as an intelligence and dissemination unit of innovative and traditional knowledge, encouraging the development of small businesses and micro-enterprises. “I hope that we can disseminate in the Amazon region, initially, the issue of bioeconomy as a flagship and an entrepreneurial activity with high added value”, highlighted the technical director of National Sebrae, Bruno Quick.
SEBRAE aims to encourage entrepreneurship in Brazil, helping small businesses and individual microentrepreneurs (MEI). This purpose is in line with the actions of MuCA, which is an intermediary between the forest and industry, creating employment and income opportunities for communities in the Amazon.
