MuCa takes part in the Congress global carbon market – decarbonization and green investments

The Amazon Science Museum was present at the Global Carbon Market Congress – Decarbonization & Green Investments, in Rio de Janeiro. The event brought together entrepreneurs and leaders of large national and international corporations to connect corporate strategies, projects and cases, in addition to guiding public policies capable of boosting the green economy in Brazil and encouraging debate on the carbon credit market, with a focus on innovation and sustainability.

Luiz Felipe Moura, general coordinator of MuCA, spoke at the National Congress about the possibilities and potential of the Amazon Forest to become a producer of bio inputs for the industry. “One of MuCA’s actions is to identify the potential of our gene bank. Through scientific methods, we validate the best practices to be adopted by the market and we will contribute to the generation of a vast list of native components to be used by the industry with 360º ESG”, says Moura. “With a structure in Amazon, we are leading studies with animals, plants and native microorganisms of high biological relevance for the development of foods, biocosmetics and phytopharmaceuticals”, he adds.

MuCA’s presence in the Amazon consolidates a practical approach to ESG in the placement with the greatest biodiversity in the world. We seek to implement a sustainable management of the forest starting from actions focused on valuing its natural attributes and preserving existing resources.
