In May, the MuCA team accompanied our scientist Otávio Mercadante, also president of AMA Brasil, in meetings with the Municipal Government of the city of Belterra. The city, whose history has always been one of innovation and work for the population’s quality of life, has been supporting the museum in its positive impact actions, thus creating a cooperative partnership.
At the first meeting, the City Council was present and, at the second, the mayor of Belterra. Public managers had the opportunity to learn more about the museum’s most recent actions and projects with the community, and exposed the city’s demands in order to align new transformative actions.
MuCA has a strong connection with the city of Belterra and its community, and that is why it works actively to bring a positive impact to the region, whether through income generation, training in bioeconomy and sustainable planting or promoting science in the Amazon rainforest.
