The MuCA collection is now part of the Brazilian Biodiversity Information System (SiBBr). SiBBr is an online platform that integrates data and information about fauna, flora and ecosystems from different sources, making them accessible for uses such as research, innovation and development of new technologies.
With this action, MuCA reiterates its position as a connection between forest and industry innovation and technology, valuing traditional knowledge, income generation and positive impact in the region of Belterra, PA.
Our MuCA exhibition project’s collection was assembled over 15 years by a multidisciplinary team, and before that it was under the management of the Butantan Institute, a reference in natural sciences in Brazil and in the world. It is located at the Headquarters of the Amazon Advanced Forestry Laboratory, which will carry out studies with plants, animals and microorganisms of high value for the industry.
